At the entrance of the structure, visitors are greeted with a explanatory video of the idea with the following text

«We live surrounded by images, ideas trying to get our attention, in which superficial prepends content and artificiality prepends reality. We opt for certain icons for purely aesthetic, often unaware that behind this great show we attend there is ideology. Life is about choices, and what data do we have to take them? Do we look beyond aesthetics? Do we believe in the shadows and lights that produces the show ore we left the cave and find out who is behind them and who produces them?

We worship the golden calf, «aware» that it is not real, but rather we prefer to live a comfortable lie. No care about the search or the way we should follow, we want pleasure and we want it now and now.

We revere and fear the unknown, unable to grasp its reality, we actually prefer giving it «divine» features and transfer the lack of faith in ourselves in an excessive, irrational faith in certain icons.

Or we follow the golden path, without losing the ability to look outside of it, where real life is, where important things are. And at the end of the road be able to deal with the false myths created, check out who is really behind the aesthetics though often we will discover that behind there are no ethics, even truth hurts.

Although once discovered the true Wizard of Oz continues shouting «Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain,» we will be as Dorothy and we will continue to seek our truth, the hidden one behind the curtains.»

Al acceder a la instalación los visitantes podían visionar un vídeo con la explicación de la pieza, que reproducía el siguiente texto.

«Vivimos rodeados de imágenes, ideas que intentan captar nuestra atención, en las que lo superficial se antepone al contenido y lo artificial a lo real. Nos decantamos por ciertos iconos por cuestiones meramente estéticas, sin saber muchas veces que detrás de ese gran espectáculo al que asistimos esta la ideología. La vida es una toma constante de decisiones, y ¿con que datos las tomamos? ¿Buscamos más allá de la estética? ¿Nos quedamos con las sombras y luces que produce el espectáculo o salimos de la caverna y averiguamos que hay tras ellas y quien las produce?

Adoramos al becerro de Oro, “conscientes” de que no es real, pero preferimos vivir una cómoda mentira. No interesa la búsqueda ni el camino tan solo el placer y lo queremos ya y ahora.

Veneramos y tememos a lo desconocido, incapaces de aprehender su realidad preferimos dotarlo de características “divinas” y transferir la falta de fe en nosotros mismos en una fe desmedida e irracional hacia ciertos iconos.

O seguimos el camino dorado, sin perder la capacidad de buscar fuera de el, allí donde esta la vida real, las cosas importantes. Y al final del camino ser capaces de enfrentarnos a los falsos mitos creados, descubrir quien está realmente detrás de la estética aunque muchas veces descubramos que detrás no hay ética, aunque la verdad duela.

Pese a que una vez descubierto el verdadero Mago de Oz siga gritando “No prestes atención al hombre que hay detrás de la cortina”, nosotros seremos como Dorothy y seguiremos buscando nuestra verdad, la que nos ocultan tras las cortinas.»
